Feel the wind in your face as you fly over Tauranga in an open cockpit Bi-Plane, side by side seating in a CT4 Air Trainer or with the roaring Pratt & Whitney radial engine of the Harvard. The passenger experience starts with getting suited up in a flight suit, helmet and goggles, then being strapped into the cockpit and briefed on the flight while the aircraft is flight prepped and started up.

Sitting in your own cockpit with your own vintage instrument panel and flight controls, you’ll experience what it was like to be a Royal Air Force trainee pilot in the 1940s and 50s. If you’ve had a flight in a Tiger Moth, you’ll find the Chipmunk a bit more comfortable (especially in winter) and you’ll be able to communicate with your pilot more easily. And while we’re nowhere near as powerful as a Harvard, we offer an affordable tailwheel warbird experience and a full range of aerobatics.

Buzz & Break - For those feeling a little bit of trepidation or perhaps just want a taste of what the L39 can do, the Coastal Buzz & Break is a great way to test the water, including some low-level flight.
A two hour experience with a 20 min tailored flight is NZD 3888, a 30 min flight is NZD 4288.

Croydon Air Services is a Part 115 certified Adventure Aviation operator and offer Tiger Moth flights all year round, subject to weather conditions, aircraft and pilot availability. Flights are purely scenic but if you are a bit of a thrill seeker then some aerobatics can be included, depending on conditions on the day of flight, and duration of flight. Our experienced Pilot with several thousand Tiger Moth flights under his belt, is usually onsite Mon-Fri so a spur of the moment flight, can often happen. Weekend flights can be also be arranged in advance.
